Discover Freedom

At Suncoast Trauma Resolution, we utilize a methodology that resolves trauma at its source making healing quick, uplifting and providing lasting change. THE CORTINA METHOD® used by our practitioners is a strategic protocol rooted in neuroscience for effective and efficient outcomes.  There is emphasis on people NOT having to relive or re-experience distressing emotions.  THE CORTINA METHOD® involves brain optimization and reprocessing.  Brain optimization is getting the brain to respond to life, in the most enticing and optimal way possible. It's important to us that you feel supported and empowered in your healing process, whether you choose to access our care in person or from the comfort of your own home.

Meet Our Team

  • Eric Tomlinson, CEO/Founder, Trauma Resolution Specialist USN Veteran

Eric's unwavering dedication to our country and his community is evident in his long history of service. His intimate understanding of the community's mental health needs is a testament to his commitment.

Eric's service to the community began as a paramedic, a role he felt a deep connection to. His sense of duty and service led him to enlist in the United States Navy, where he participated in 2 forward deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Odyssey Dawn, and took part in two rescues at sea. His diverse service history also includes a role with AIRTEVRON 1 (VX-1) test and evaluation squadron, where he was entrusted with oversight of the test and evaluation flights for the U.S. Navy's first safe for flight unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) program.

After eight years of dedicated service, Eric was honorably discharged and continued his commitment to the community as a law enforcement officer. However, his passion for service and his deep understanding of the community's mental health needs led him to make a significant career transition into the field of mental health. He began working with local non-profits, where he took on various leadership roles, gaining valuable insight and knowledge of treatment for those suffering from mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Eric has extensive experience working with veterans and first responders. This experience has given him a deep understanding of the unique mental health challenges these individuals face.

When he's not serving the community, Eric enjoys Gracie Jui Jitsu, Scuba diving, volunteering, and spending time with his family and friends.
